Similar in appearance and feel to its 4 String counterpart, the electric 5 string brings versatility of both the violin E string, and the viola C string. Having both of these strings on one instrument does not only allow an instrumentalist to play either viola or violin parts, it also creates harmonic overtones that generally do not exist on either of these instruments individually.
As with the NX Electric Violin, the NX Electric 5 String is made from the finest materials and is built with a center of mass such that it feels no different from its classical counterparts. The rib arch on the top of the neck simulates the feel of an actual violin/viola, and it has a fully adjustable shoulder and chin rest that provides maximum comfort for any player. With a solid-piece bridge and pickup system, this 5 string produces fabulous tone quality, especially when paired with a fishman loudbox amp.
Included with the Electric 5 String is an ergonomic case, and a customized set of strings to really enhance the tone.
